Chicken Pesto Pasta Salad





INGREDIENTS

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 box elbow or spiral macaroni (use Rice pasta for a Wheat free alternative)
  • Grape Tomatoes
  • Black Olives
  • Red Onion
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Pesto Sauce Packet

 DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make pasta according to instructions. Drain pasta and cool with cold water.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and ½ tablespoon garlic to frying pan and cook chicken to temp and no longer pink in the center. I actually cut my chicken into small cubes before cooking. Let chicken cool.
  3. Add ½ cup olive oil and package of Pesto sauce ...

This spring, Center for Puppetry Arts will offer Atlanta audiences a fun twist on the time-honored classic Peter Pan. The young and young-at-heart will delight in this adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s beloved children’s book as amateur inventor Wendy Darling and her brothers, John and Michael, travel to Neverland with the impetuous Peter and his fairy companion, Tinkerbell. Your tour begins in the heart of Downtown Decatur's Historic Town Square, a diverse enclave of quaint shops and restaurants that share common space with the ghosts of Decatur's exciting past.  A stop at one of the oldest two story homes in Decatur where it's been said spirits haunt the walled up fireplaces and move freely about the grounds. Britt Dean, Doc Oster and Clay Spurz are The Band of Desperate Men. The music is pure and simple harmony blended over originals by all three members and vintage classics. They cover everything from country, old-school rock 'n roll, bluegrass, and blues to the only Chinese Doo-wop song in captivity. Friday, May 18 - Youth Capoeira

Want your child to get more exercise? How about learn to play an instrument? Speak another language? How about all three in one class? Our pequeninos youth capoeira classes offers just that. Classes are available for children between the ages of 4-8. As with adult capoeira all ages/skill levels are taught together. Each 60 minute class includes training in capoeira movements such as the ginga, kicks and defenses along with games and activities designed to aid in sensory and developmental coordination. The youth also learn to play the musical instruments of capoeira and sing in Portuguese.
