Stone Mountain Christmas

Stone Mountain Park debuts its popular holiday attraction Stone Mountain Christmas, presented by Humana, on select dates from Nov. 8 to Jan. 4. This year, Snow Mountain, the region’s only snow park, opens for its seventh season beginning Nov. 22, operating select dates through Feb. 22, 2015. 

From Nov. 22 to Jan. 4, when both attractions are simultaneously open, SMP is offering a limited-time combo ticket that may be used on the same day or two separate days. The combo ticket is $44.95 plus tax and includes a two-hour snow tubing session, all day access to the snow play area and all access to Stone Mountain Christmas. The combo ticket saves visitors up to $11 per ticket. Tickets are now on sale via StoneMountainPark.com

New at Stone Mountain Christmas this year, families are transported back in time during Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas 4-D, a hilarious immersive film adventure featured in 3-D with added in-theatre effects. Returning in 2014, Stone Mountain Christmas welcomes two iconic North Pole favorites, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer® and Bumble™ the Abominable Snow Monster. Kids of all ages will meet these two heartwarming characters or catch them in the nightly Christmas parade.

Also returning for 2014, visitors may take a ride on the Sing-Along Christmas Train  for a lively five-mile excursion around the mountain featuring Santa’s elves, Newt and Holly, who join via satellite from Christmas headquarters. Passengers will travel with the merry elves down memory lane to see how Santa spends his vacation at Stone Mountain Park. Snow Mountain returns on November 22 to delight families with more than 20 snow-tubing slides. Returning for 2014, Avalanche Alley for groups of up to 5 people to get in more family tubing time. During the course of its operation through February 22, the park will generate about 50,000 tons of snow – up to 360 tons of fresh snow per day – to maintain 20 snow tubing lanes for winter outdoor fun. The holidays come to life during a Stone Mountain Christmas as SMP is decked out with more than 2 million LED lights. Stone Mountain Christmas is the only place in Atlanta to see five live holiday shows: “Forever Christmas,” “Toyrific!”, “A Crossroads® Christmas Carol,” “Holly Jolly Cabaret,” “The Gift” Train Show and more. Guests may also visit Stone Mountain Park’s very own Snow Angel at her Snow Palace in Memorial Hall. Families and visitors will also catch the Christmas spirit with the nightly Christmas Parade and visits with Santa Claus. The experience culminates with the magic of the beautiful Snow Angel as she flies high in the sky creating a nightly snow and fireworks celebration.
