A Summer of Discovery, Creativity, and Culture: Why Families Love Victory Creative Learning’s STEM Camp at The Ferguson School

As summer approaches, families begin searching for camps that not only keep children engaged but also support their growth, creativity, and sense of identity. That’s exactly what Victory Creative Learning, in partnership with The Ferguson School, is offering this summer in Decatur, GA. We’re offering a culturally affirming STEM camp experience that blends learning, fun, and community.

Running from June 9 to July 3, 2025, this camp is specifically designed for children ages 5 to 10. With themed weeks like Edible Experiments, Wacky Science, Space Odyssey, and Vet Tech, campers dive into hands-on activities that make science and creativity come alive.

But this camp goes far beyond your typical summer program.

A Culturally Affirming Space Where All Kids Thrive

Victory Creative Learning understands the power of representation and belonging. That’s why our summer camp is built around creating an inclusive, culturally responsive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.

Children of all backgrounds benefit from experiences that reflect their identities and celebrate diversity. By intentionally weaving cultural relevance into activities and small group interactions, the camp becomes a place where kids don’t have to leave parts of themselves at the door. They bring their whole selves, and that’s where the transformation happens.

Small Groups, Big Impact

One of the standout features of this summer camp is its small group model. Keeping groups small ensures personalized attention, strong relationships, and an environment where camp guides can tailor instruction to meet each child’s unique learning style. Whether your child is a curious question-asker, a budding artist, or a future scientist, our team meets them where they are.

This intentional structure also supports neurodivergent learners and children with diverse needs. With experienced educators who understand inclusive practices, every child receives the tools and encouragement they need to thrive.

STEM Meets Creativity

Science, technology, engineering, and math are at the heart of our camp. But it’s the hands-on way we teach STEM that sets us apart. Kids don’t just watch—they build, create, design, and explore. Whether they’re mixing up edible concoctions, designing rocket ships, or learning about animal care in our Vet Tech week, students are encouraged to experiment and imagine.

Art is also a key part of our program. Integrating the “A” into STEM makes learning more dynamic and ensures students develop both their analytical and creative minds. The result is a well-rounded experience that engages different types of learners and keeps kids excited to return each day.

Convenient, Safe, and Affordable

The camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and takes place at The Ferguson School, located at 308 Clairmont Ave on the campus of First Baptist Church Decatur. The convenient location makes drop-off and pick-up simple for busy families.

At $275 per week, the camp is competitively priced, with sibling discounts available to help families make the most of the summer. And those who register by April 30 can use code EARLYBIRD35 to save $35 on tuition.

More Than Just a Camp—It’s a Community

What makes Victory Creative Learning’s summer camp truly special is the community it builds. Families connect, children build friendships, and educators become trusted guides. It’s a space where kids grow socially, emotionally, and academically—all while having the time of their lives.

Spots are limited to maintain a high-quality, small-group environment, so early registration is encouraged.
