Decatur Community Players offers 2 summer camps. Our summer camps are held downstairs at CORE Dance Studio, 133 Sycamore Street, on the square in Decatur.

Students learn collaborative techniques as they write, direct and perform a completely original play together. Wacky, wonderful and the sky’s the limit. Great for team building! Performance for family and friends at 1:00 pm on Friday of camp week.
July 18 – 29 (2 weeks): 2 Musicals in 2 Weeks: Disney’s 'Aristocats, Kids' and Disney’s 'Aladdin, Kids'
Musical theatre from A to Z, all in two weeks. Campers will do everything from creating the costumes and sets to learning the songs, blocking and choreography.
Campers will perform for family and friends each Friday of camp at 1:00 pm.
Our camps are Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 4 PM, with a 1 PM performance each Friday of camp.

ABOUT DECATUR COMMUNITY PLAYERS (DCP)
Decatur Community Players is a children’s musical theatre troupe providing year round performing arts instruction for children aged 7-17 since 2009. We offer an award-winning after school program, summer camps, and every January we participate in the Junior Theater Festival. Our mission is to include every child who wishes to be involved in a performing arts program, regardless of their level of experience. We strive to inspire imagination and cultivate creativity both on stage and off, while helping children develop communication skills, self esteem and team work. We believe the children should be involved with every aspect of production and we encourage their input whenever possible.
